80 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, SS. EASTERN DIVISION OF THE EASTERN JUDICIAL DISTRICT OF MISSOURI. BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 14' day of Nov A. D. 1904, before the undersigned, a United States Commissioner appointed pursuant to the provisions of the Act of Con- congress in that behalf, personally came Jeu Sue Bun, as principal and Chas P Johnson and Jeu Tom as sureties and jointly and severally acknowledged themselves to owe and be indebted to the United States of America in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, separately to be made and levied out of their respective goods and chattels, lands and tenements, and to the United States rendered if default be made in the conditions following, to-wit : WHEREAS, the said Jeu Sue Bun ha s been charged on oath with having on the 14 day of Nov A. D. 1904, committed a Criminal offense against the laws of the United States, to-wit: that he did being a Chinese laborer and not provided with a certificate of identity was unlawfully within the United States as will at large and more fully appear by the said complaint. And upon such complaint being filed said Commissioner did issue a warrant for the arrest of the accused, who has been brought before said Commissioner for examination, and said examination having been continued for the reason that and said offense being bailable by said Commissioner, he thereupon ordered the accused to find sufficient bail in the sum of 500 - Dollars, for his appearance before said Commissioner, at his office, in the Custom House building, in the City of St. Louis, in said Division of said District, on the 23 day of Nov 1904; then and there to answer the complaint preferred against him ; and that in default of finding such bail the accused shall stand for trial. Now, THEREFORE, the condition of this recognizance is such, that if the said Jeu Sue Bun shall personally be and appear at and before the said Commissioner, at his office aforesaid, on the 23" day of Nov A. D. 1904, and from day to day thereafter, as may be ordered by said Commissioner, until discharged by due process of law, and then and there answer to said complaint for said offense whereof he stands charged, and shall obey and abide by all orders which may be made by said Commissioner in relation to the said complaint during the pendency thereof, then this recognizance shall be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
